African Theme Maternity Session-Utah Maternity Photographer-Salt Lake City
Utah Maternity Photographer Specializing in creating artistic and meaningful portraits that are all about YOU!
I absolutely love shooting themed maternity sessions. I am a Utah maternity photographer based in Eagle Mountain. I do my maternity portrait sessions in locations from Salt Lake City to Spanish Fork. It’s important for me to work together with you to select a location that will help create the type of portraits that will honor you and your style, your family, and your journey.
When I was contacted about doing an African-themed maternity session, my heart skipped a few beats! It had been something that I had wished to do for years, and I was very happy to finally have the opportunity. The thing about maternity sessions is that you want the final results to reflect YOU! You might take inspiration from something you have seen on Pinterest or somewhere else online, but you don’t want your maternity portraits to be cookie-cutter and to look just like someone else’s. As a maternity photographer, in Eagle Mountain Utah, I focus on trying to create meaningful portraits that tell your story, honor your journey, and make you feel beautiful in this very fleeting time. I want your maternity photos to be unforgettable. I want you to include your husband or partner, and I always love to include your other children as that helps capture your family’s history at this special time.
For this session, I rented a larger studio in downtown Salt Lake City Utah, so we would have extra space for the setups and more options than I usually have in my home studio in Eagle Mountain. She wanted to incorporate her husband and children into her session as well, which is something I always recommend. For her session, she used a makeup artist to help her create the stunning look she was hoping for. And she also had a body paint artist do a beautiful belly bump design to really make for the perfect African maternity session.
And we had such a wonderful, stress-free maternity session, letting the artistic energy flow. I purchased 2 new backdrops for her session after she sent me a photo of the two designs her family would be wearing.
*For photographers wondering which colors of seamless paper I used, the brown is called Chestnut and the red is Chrimson.
